Hong Kong “flying fish” Siobhan Haughey brought honor to the city again by snatching another gold medal in the women’s 100-meter freestyle at the 19th Asian Games on Tuesday night, after touching the wall in a personal best 52.17 seconds, and setting an Asian record.
This marked Haughey’s fourth medal in the ongoing games and the fifth gold for the Hong Kong team in this Asiad.

So far, the Hong Kong team has won 18 medals at the Games with five gold, four silver, and nine bronze medals.

Hong Kong’s Rugby Sevens men’s team had won the city’s fourth gold by defeating South Korea 14-7 on Tuesday. It was the second Asiad Rugby Sevens title in consecutive Asian Games for the Hong Kong men.
On Tuesday morning, Hong Kong beat traditional rivals Japan 12-7 in the semifinal after extratime. The sides were locked in a 7-7 stalemate at fulltime.
In another breakthrough, the Hong Kong Rugby Sevens women’s team won a bronze medal by defeating Thailand.
