Liu He, top financial and economic adviser of President Xi Jinping, will represent China at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, next week.
Liu is the director of the General Office of the Central Leading Group on Financial and Economic Affairs and Vice Minister and Leading Party Members Group Deputy Secretary of National Development and Reform Commission.

He will attend the gathering from Jan 22-25, Lu Kang, spokesman for China’s foreign ministry, said in a statement Monday.
Liu was elected as a member of the Political Bureau of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Oct 25, 2017.

Conversations at the Alpine resort town are likely to be dominated by US President Donald Trump, who will attend this year and use the event to talk about his “America First” agenda.
Addressing the Davos Forum last year, Xi called for rejecting trade war and protectionism.
