SHENZHEN — Guangzhou Evergrande defeated Shenzhen FC 3-2 in the 26th round of the Chinese Super League (CSL), keeping its edge for the crown with four rounds remaining.

Prior to the match, Evergrande suffered one draw and two losses, and only led the league table by one point.

Evergrande dominated the match as Elkeson scored in the 15th minute to break the deadlock, made his second in the 52nd minute before Junior added the third in the 75th minute.
"We have to change players due to unpredictable injuries of Gao Zhunyi and Feng Xiaoting. But the accident did not cause us much trouble since we all cooperate well in daily training," defender Mei Fang said.

Elsewhere, Tianjin Tianhai beat Wuhan Zall 3-1 for its first win after Li Weifeng, a former Chinese international defender, became head coach of the team.
