ISLAMABAD — Pakistan on Tuesday successfully conducted the flight test of its first indigenously developed air-to-air missile, according to the military's media wing.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that the missile is equipped with a state-of-the-art terminal guidance system and is capable of engaging aerial targets at longer ranges.

The development of the missile will enhance the operational flexibility of the Pakistan Air Force and further strengthen the country's overall defense posture, the statement said.
