PYONGYANG – The Association of Korean Victims of Forcible Drafting and Their Bereaved Families condemned the ruling politicians in Japan over their repeated visits and ritual offerings to the notorious Yasukuni Shrine, a spokesman for the organization said Tuesday.

Such action of the Japanese politicians aims to spread "venomous militarism" throughout Japanese society, and by praising the war criminals in the shrine as patriots, such moves reflect Japan's prevailing political climate, according to a statement cited by the Korean Central News Agency.

The repeated visits by Japanese politicians to the shrine featuring Class-A war criminals constitute "an intolerable mockery of and insult to the victims of the Japanese imperialists' wars of aggression and their bereaved families" and "an unpardonable challenge to international justice and peace," it said.
