HONG KONG — A major exhibition honoring the late Hong Kong pop icon Leslie Cheung Kwok-wing on the 70th anniversary of his birth will open to the public on Wednesday at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum in Sha Tin.

Titled Miss You Much Leslie – 70th Birthday – Exhibition, the showcase features over 300 precious exhibits, including concert costumes Cheung wore during landmark performances, vinyl records, film posters, music trophies, and a recreated interior setting of his former residence, designed in collaboration with his original interior designer.

The exhibition is presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, organized by the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, and curatorially planned by Florence S F Chan, with support from the Les FANmily organization. Many of the items on display are private collections that will be shown to the public for the first time, generously loaned by Cheung's long-time partner Daffy Tong and their close friends.

Held on a grander scale than its 2023 iteration, the tribute also features retrospective film screenings and multimedia installations celebrating the legendary star's global artistic legacy. 

The exhibition runs through May 10, 2027, with free admission.
