Speaking at the opening ceremony, Hong Kong’s Financial Secretary Paul Chan Mo-po said: “When capital markets and the technology industry are properly connected — when they work as one — innovation accelerates.”

Hong Kong aims to build a capital ecosystem where “a company at any stage of its development can find the right capital partner in Hong Kong”, Chan added.

Cordelia Chung, chairwoman of HKSTP, described the event as bringing a “tripartite alliance” of enterprises, investors and industry leaders under one roof, calling it “an efficient engine for commercialization.”
