GUANGZHOU – A sea of gold has taken over the Guantan Agricultural Park (官坦农业公园) in Dongchong town of Nansha district in Guangzhou, where more than 210,000 sunflowers are now in full bloom.
The sprawling flower field, covering over 100 mu (6.67 hectares), has quickly become one of the city’s hottest spring-summer destinations.
To extend the viewing window, the park introduced a batch-planting strategy. Seeds were sown in three stages starting in early April, creating a staggered bloom that is set to last until early July.
The peak viewing period is expected in mid-to-late June, with the best photo opportunities coming in soft morning and evening light.
