WUHAN - League leader Chengdu Rongcheng scored in stoppage time for the second straight match to stay unbeaten at the top of the Chinese Super League, while defending champion Shanghai Port was held to a 1-1 draw by Shenzhen Peng City as the 10th round of matches concluded on Wednesday.
Chengdu secured a dramatic 1-0 win over Liaoning Tieren on Tuesday, with Brazilian striker Felipe Silva netting an overhead kick in the fourth minute of added time. The victory marked Chengdu's seventh straight win. The league leader now has nine wins and one draw from 10 matches, opening a nine-point gap over second-placed Chongqing.
The result followed another late comeback in the previous round, when Chengdu scored twice in stoppage time to overturn a two-goal deficit against Shanghai Shenhua.
Liaoning, meanwhile, suffered a fifth straight defeat. The club announced before the match that general manager and head coach Li Jinyu had stepped down, with South Korean coach Seo Jung-won, who previously managed Chengdu, taking charge.
Shanghai Port continued to struggle this season. Hosting Shenzhen Peng City, it fell behind before Liu Zhurun equalized in the 86th minute to salvage a point.
Shanghai Shenhua, unbeaten in its previous four league meetings with Shandong Taishan, was routed 4-1 away, with Shandong forward Cryzan scoring a hat trick. The defeat marked Shenhua's second straight loss, with forward Joao Carlos Teixeira forced off injured.

Elsewhere, none of the teams ranked second to fourth managed a win. Chongqing Tonglianglong, currently second, drew 1-1 at home to Henan. Third-placed Dalian Yingbo lost 3-0 away to Beijing Guoan, while fourth-placed Yunnan Yukun fell 2-1 at home to Zhejiang.
In other matches, Qingdao West Coast drew 1-1 with Tianjin Jinmen Tiger, and Qingdao Hainiu beat Wuhan Three Towns 3-1.
