Brazil president Lula says Trump ‘threatening’ world

SAO PAULO - Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva on Friday called for peace, saying US President Donald Trump is "threatening" the world.

"The world is difficult, Trump is threatening everyone," Lula said during a speech at the inauguration of a federal education institute campus in Sorocaba, Sao Paulo state.

In his speech, Lula reiterated Brazil's stance against involvement in conflicts.

"We in Brazil do not want war, we want peace," Lula said, adding that his government prioritizes improving access to social, economic and cultural services.
