BEIJING - China firmly supports Cuba in maintaining its national sovereignty and security, and opposing external interference, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Monday.

Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning made the remarks at a regular press briefing after the US side said that Cuba will fail soon after the US military operation against Iran.

Mao stressed that China always advocates respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries and opposes infringing upon the sovereignty of other countries or interfering in their internal affairs under any pretext.
