Spain's Jon Rahm clinched his first individual title at the LIV Golf Hong Kong 2026 tournament in Fanling on Sunday.
Rahm, 31, delivered an impressive six-under-par 64 in the final round, finishing at 23 under par, three strokes ahead of Belgium's Thomas Detry, who secured second place.
This year's tournament featured 57 top players from 16 countries and regions and drew approximately 14,000 international visitors, according to Hong Kong's Financial Secretary, Paul Chan Mo-po.
During a press briefing, Chan highlighted the significance of the event, now in its third year under the "M" Mark scheme.
"This venue is not only beautiful but also steeped in history," Chan remarked. "Alongside Hong Kong's other attractions, I'm confident that both players and visitors will have an unforgettable experience. We are committed to organizing a variety of events—cultural, sports, and more—to attract international visitors and showcase Hong Kong's vitality and vibrancy. In the coming weeks and throughout the year, we have many more exciting events planned," he added.
