Indian Air Force's fighter jet goes missing in northeastern India

NEW DELHI - A Sukhoi Su-30 MKI of the Indian Air Force (IAF) on Thursday went missing in India's northeastern state of Assam, officials said.

The aircraft had taken off from Jorhat, about 297 km northeast of Dispur, the capital city of Assam. A search and rescue mission has been initiated, according to the IAF.
