BEIJING - China opposes any country disrupting the international economic and trade order by rules of "small circles," Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian said on Thursday, in response to a related query about the so-called "critical minerals alliance" established by the United States.
Lin made the remarks at a daily press briefing, adding that upholding an open, inclusive and universally beneficial international trade environment is in the common interests of all countries.
He went on to say that all parties have the responsibility to play a constructive role in maintaining the stability and security of global production and supply chains of critical minerals.
China opposes external interference in Cuba
On the same day, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing said that China firmly supports Cuba in safeguarding its national sovereignty and security, opposes unwarranted interference by external forces, and rejects any attempt to deprive the Cuban people of their right to survival and development.
Wang made the remarks during talks with Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, who is the special envoy of the party and government of Cuba, a member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party and the foreign minister of Cuba.
At present, the situation in Latin America is undergoing complex and profound changes, said Wang, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, noting that upholding fairness and justice has always been a consistent principle of China's foreign policy.
