As of Oct 8, the rail link had logged 24.25 million cross-border passenger movements this year, reaching this number 40 days earlier than last year.

"This year's overlapping National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday saw a significant increase in passenger flow, primarily driven by tourism and family visits, with students, business travelers, and migrant workers contributing as well," said a representative from China Railway Guangzhou Group’s passenger service department.
