MOSCOW - Russia shot down more than 350 Ukrainian drones and other projectiles over the past 24 hours, the country's Defense Ministry said on Monday.

Russia's air defense systems shot down six US-made HIMARS rockets, one long-range cruise missile Neptune and 356 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles, the ministry said in a statement.

Russia's Belgorod region came under heavy drone attack over the past 24 hours, with Ukrainian forces striking 14 municipal districts, said Regional Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.

He said 197 drones were launched, of which 137 were shot down or neutralized. Six people sought medical assistance.
