BOC Life announced on Tuesday an upgrade to its "retirecation" program, expanding the range of "retirement living bases" to offer a more diverse and fulfilling experience for Hong Kong’s aging population.

Launched in November last year, the first phase of the program provided "retirement living bases" in 18 cities on the Chinese mainland, including nine in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

This year’s enhancement broadens the scope to seven Asian countries, covering eight cities and nine premium "retirecation" destinations.

The cities are Kyoto (Japan), Sokcho (South Korea), Phuket and Krabi (Thailand), Bali (Indonesia), Lang Co Bay (Vietnam), North Malé Atoll (Maldives), and Penang (Malaysia).

The upgraded program continues to be anchored in the “Six Aspects of Well-being” framework, which integrates nourishment, living, wellness, activity, travel, and companionship into a holistic retirement experience.

It also provides a concierge service offering personalized consultation and support, including tailored designing and planning of "retirecation" itineraries, providing dining recommendations, and providing emergency situation support, according to BOC Life.
