ALMATY - China collected eight gold, seven silver and one bronze medals across the 15 Los Angeles 2028 Olympic shooting events at the Asian Championships, highlighted by a clean sweep of all five pistol titles.

Hu Kai, unbeaten this season in men's 10m air pistol at the ISSF World Cups, extended his dominance by securing gold with 241.6 points as the Championships started in Shymkent, Kazakhstan on Aug 18. On the following day, Ma Qianke, 17, stunned Olympic medalists Yang Ji-in of South Korea and Manu Bhaker of India to claim the women's 10m air pistol title with 243.2 points, before pairing with Zhang Yifan to win the 10m air pistol mixed team event over South Korea 16-12.

China rode on the momentum to add two more golds, with Zhang Yueyue taking the women's 25m pistol crown after an intense shootoff against teammate Xiao Jiaruixuan. Su Lianbofan won his maiden Asian Championships title with 36 hits in the men's 25m rapid fire pistol final.
