National Games: 100 days to go

A 100-day countdown event was held on Saturday in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to mark the upcoming 15th National Games, the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympic Games (Hong Kong).

The HKSAR has cooperated closely with the Macao SAR and Guangdong province, and has completed the test events for eight competition events and two cross-border cooperative games in Hong Kong, Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu said at the event.

During the countdown ceremony, guests, including Hong Kong athletes and officials, collectively completed the final 100 kilometers of the city’s Million Kilometers Challenge by cycling.

Co-hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, the National Games and the Para Games will be held this year from Nov 9 to 21 and Dec 8 to 15, respectively.
