The construction of Luohubei Station (罗湖北站), a key stop on the Shenzhen-Shantou High-speed Railway (深汕高铁), is set to start in late September, with an expected completion date in November 2027.
The station will be situated in the Qingshuihe (清水河) area of Shenzhen’s Luohu District, , according to recently released public bidding documents.
The Shenzhen-Shantou High-speed Railway, spanning 125.5 kilometers, is one of the major infrastructure projects in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

It begins at Xili Station, a hub in western Shenzhen, and connects several districts across three cities, including Nanshan, Longhua, Futian, Luohu, Longgang, and Pingshan in Shenzhen, as well as Huizhou’s Daya Bay, Huiyang District, and Huidong District, ending at Shenshan Station in the Shenzhen-Shantou Special Cooperation Zone in Shantou.
Once completed, travel time between Nanshan District and the Shenzhen-Shantou Special Cooperation Zone will be reduced to just 30 minutes.
