CHANGZHOU, China - China guaranteed itself four titles at its home badminton tournament, with all-Chinese finals set in four events following the semifinals at the China Open on Saturday.
In men's singles, China's resurgent star Shi Yuqi continued his strong form, defeating Chinese Taipei veteran Chou Tien-chen 21-13, 22-20. The victory sends Shi, who won last week's Japan Open, into his second consecutive final.
"After getting injured yesterday, I spent a long time on diagnosis and treatment," Shi said. "I felt some discomfort at the start of the match today, but it eased after I focused on the game."

Shi will face compatriot Wang Zhengxing in Sunday's final. The 23-year-old continued his surprise run at the high-level tournament, ousting Denmark's second seed Anders Antonsen 21-18, 21-15.
The women's singles semifinals saw a dramatic exit, as Olympic champion An Se-young of South Korea retired injured while trailing China's Han Yue 21-19, 11-6.
Fighting back tears, she explained her decision post-match. "I felt uncomfortable from the start, and it got worse. To avoid more serious injury, I had to withdraw. I hope to recover quickly for next month's World Championships."

Han advances to face compatriot Wang Zhiyi, who defeated two-time world champion Akane Yamaguchi from Japan.
Chinese dominance extended to the doubles events. Women's doubles pairs Liu Shengshu and Tan Ning, and Jia Yifan and Zhang Shuxian won their respective semifinals. Similarly, mixed doubles final will feature China's top two seeded pairs: Feng Yanzhe and Huang Dongping, and Jiang Zhenbang and Wei Yaxin.
In men's doubles, Indonesia's Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri defeated China's Liang Weikeng and Wang Chang 21-19, 21-17. They will face Malaysia's Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik for the title.
