Hurricane-force winds and heavy squally showers battered Hong Kong on Sunday as Typhoon Wipha skirted around 50 kilometers south of the city.

With the T10 hurricane signal raised, the MTR suspended its outdoor and light rail services while KMB and Citybus stopped plying their routes. The Hospital Authority said 21 people were reported injured as of 2 pm.
