MOSCOW - The cooperation between Russia and China has made important contributions to the development of BRICS countries, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Wednesday.
Responding to a question from Xinhua at a regular press briefing, spokesperson for the ministry Maria Zakharova said Russia-China cooperation, including cooperation within the BRICS framework, is constructive and not directed at any third party.
Cooperation between the two countries has created favorable conditions for the sustained and steady growth of BRICS economies and has made significant contributions to building a more just and balanced multipolar world order, she added.
The spokesperson noted that against the backdrop of major shifts in the global geopolitical landscape, the Russia-China comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era continues to flourish, demonstrating strong adaptability and resilience to the rapidly changing external environment.
