MOSCOW/KYIV - Moscow is ready to hand over the bodies of fallen Ukrainian soldiers, and has been waiting for the Ukrainian side for several days at the border, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday.
Peskov said he hoped that the bodies of fallen Russian soldiers would also be transferred in the near future.
"There is no final understanding, contact is being made, numbers are being compared," he said, noting that as soon as there is an understanding, Moscow hopes the exchange of dead bodies will take place.

Detained over Krasnodar terror plot
The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) detained a Russian national for planning a terrorist attack in the country's Krasnodar region, it said in a statement Tuesday.
The 22-year-old citizen, who was acting under instructions from Ukrainian intelligence, was planning to commit a terrorist attack in the Krasnodar region in places of mass gathering.
Russian authorities said that the citizen was recruited by Ukrainian special services through WhatsApp in February 2025, and has been gathering sensitive military information, including details on the movements of Russia's Black Sea Fleet.
According to the FSB, he planned to detonate an improvised explosive device inside an administrative building of one of the energy facilities in the region.
