Whimsical hour at Tai Kwun
By Wang Zhan

A vibrant parade featuring horse-drawn carriages, dancers, stilt walkers, and acrobats takes place every evening at Tai Kwun in Central, Hong Kong, running until Sunday.

Produced by the French company Remue Ménage, Le Bal draws inspiration from the paintings of Renoir and Degas, creating a whimsical atmosphere where people come together to dance, laugh, and celebrate life.

The half-hour-long parade is held at the historic parade ground of the former Central Police Station, now transformed into a shopping and art venue, at 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm. It is one of the programs of ENCORE! - HKJC Celebrates Tai Kwun's 7th Anniversary.

China Daily’s Adam Lam captured the magical moments on Thursday.
