WELLINGTON - New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon on Sunday congratulated Anthony Albanese and Lawrence Wong on their recent election victories in Australia and Singapore.
Luxon said he had spoken with both leaders to offer his congratulations and reaffirm close ties.

He described Australia as New Zealand's closest ally, stressing the importance of cooperation on regional security, economic ties, and global challenges.
