HONG KONG - Hong Kong's Security Bureau led the disciplined services in holding a joint flag raising ceremony at the Hong Kong Police College on Monday to mark this year's National Security Education Day.
The city held various activities for the important day, including carnivals, a quiz on national security, parades and a drawing competition, to raise the public awareness of national security, deepen the public understanding of the Constitution and the Basic Law, and foster a sense of national identity.
On July 1, 2015, the National Security Law of the People's Republic of China was adopted at the 15th Session of the Standing Committee of the 12th National people's Congress, and April 15 each year was designated as the National Security Education Day.
