BOLOGNA, Italy - The famous medieval Garisenda tower and its surrounding areas have been closed due to the tower's anomalous movements and the risk of further leaning since last October.

According to the plan issued by Bologna government, the pylon system previously used to the Tower of Pisa will be adapted to the 48-meter tower to guarantee its stability at the end of 2024.
