BEIJING - Home and away games, which will resume in early August in the Chinese Super League, will make better conditions for the teams to improve, said Dalian Pro head coach Xie Hui.

The first phase of the CSL 2022 campaign has concluded under a centralized format with constant complaints from some teams about the lack of time to recover.

We found a lot of problems about my team in the first ten rounds of the first phase but had no time to solve them. During that period, we had to play a game every three days.

The second phase, to begin in early August, will see the resumption of home and away games, a move welcomed by Xie.

"We found a lot of problems about my team in the first ten rounds of the first phase but had no time to solve them," he said.

"During that period, we had to play a game every three days. What we could do was play the match, then recover, then play the next match."

"There was hardly any time to train. And the best way to solve the problems of a team is through training," he said.

"If we play one match one week on the home-and-away basis, that means we will have more time to solve the problems arising during the games," he said.

"The home-and-away format is an integral part of professional football games," he added.
