HONG KONG - The Macao Economic and Cultural Office in Taiwan will suspend its operations starting Saturday, the Macao Special Administrative Region government said on Wednesday.

In a statement, the MKSAR government said it has taken fully into account the needs of Macao residents in Taiwan and provided a  24-hour telephone hotline set up by the Macao Government Tourism Office.

Besides helping address general inquiries and requests for assistance from Macao residents in Taiwan, the telephone hotline will also provide people in Taiwan with information about the SAR.
