HONG KONG - Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor visited Macao and paid a courtesy call on Fernando Chui Sai-on, Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region, on Friday.
The leaders of Hong Kong and Macao briefed each other about the latest situations in the two SARs in different areas, including the economy, education, innovation and technology, as well as culture and creative industries.
Noting that Hong Kong and Macao have frequent contacts and close ties in various areas, Lam said she expected there would be room for further co-operation between the two in view of the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area and the commissioning of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge in the future.

Lam then visited 10 Fantasia to learn about the development of Macao's cultural and creative industries. Launched in 2008, 10 Fantasia is a building complex which showcases and promotes Macao's cultural and creative industries, providing a platform for the development of art groups and artists in Macao.
Lam was accompanied by Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Patrick Nip Tak-kuen and Director of the Chief Executive's Office Eric Chan Kwok-ki.
She returned to Hong Kong in the afternoon.
